Honda Launches EM1 e: Electric Motorcycle: Affordable Commuting and Shopping Solution

Honda Motor Co. is preparing to introduce its first electric motorcycle for individual customers, marking a significant milestone for the company. The EM1 e: model, designed with a focus on commuting and shopping, is scheduled to go on sale on August 24th, as announced by Honda on May 19th. This will be the first time Honda makes an electric motorcycle available in the domestic market. The EM1 e: will fall under the same category as 50cc motorcycles under the Road Traffic Law. When fully charged, the vehicle can travel up to 53 kilometers, providing a practical range for short-distance trips. Charging the motorcycle is a convenient process, as power can be supplied through a regular electrical socket at home. The EM1 e: features a removable battery that can be charged using a dedicated charger. Toyota Motor Corp. announced on Wednesday its plans to commence the production of electric vehicles (EVs) at its factory in Kentucky, USA, starting in 2025. As part of this initiative, the company will invest an additional $2.1 billion in battery production. The Kentucky plant will serve as Toyota's first EV production facility in the United States, the world's largest economy, and will focus on manufacturing three-row electric sport utility vehicles.
